LexisNexis Canada Inc. was formed when the worldwide company of LexisNexis Group acquired Quicklaw Inc. in 2002 and joined it in a business unit with LexisNexis Butterworths Canada Ltd. The two companies in the business unit were amalgamated at the beginning of 2003, bringing together the print and CD-ROM publications of Butterworths Canada with the online research services of QuicklawTM and LexisNexis®. LexisNexis Canada is headquartered in Markham, Ontario, and has offices in six additional Canadian cities.
